The Beginning

After much delay, this blog is finally ready and I really really hope you people will enjoy posting on this blog and at the same time get to know each other better. Let's start with a lil'icebreaker by sharing about our favourite kind/type of music.

I grew up listening to a lot of the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears (back then she was really good, can't say much about her now though), Westlife, music from the 80's and even the 70's and the 60's. I know what you are thinking I'm really not that old! But songs from the past seem to have more meaning as compared to some rubbish that is played over the radio today.

Music and songs play an important role in my life. There is almost a song for every event/occasion. For instance, Britney's 'Sometimes' was on repeat when I was going through my first crush. There's just something about music and how it sings of the emotions that you are going through and how it touches your heart sometimes.

My current favourite song now is 'Pokerface' by Lady GaGa though I can't really figure out what the lyrics actually mean but I just like the crazy tempo and rhythm of the song. It is a great song to listen to while working. If you see me with my earphones and nodding my head like a nutcase, I'm most probably listening to it. :P I can't help it!! It makes me wanna nod my head to its every beat.

If you have no idea how 'Pokerface' sounds like I've also posted the video here. Enjoy!

It's your turn to share yours with me! Do share by commenting to this post and if possible include the video in your comments as well! :) Keep the comments coming.

  1. Finally , someone that agrees that music played nowadays sound like rubbish.

As for me , I do not really listen to music just for the lyrics, the rhythm plays a very big role too :D . Not too much of a fan of today's music, I like songs of the 70s, 80s and early 2000s for the fact that many of them convey a very important message.

This is a good song by Black Eyed Peas(ft. Sting)

unfortunately i do not have the lyrics included in this video, and that i could not emb the video here. However this song talks about the social impacts of war and what differing beliefs and views can do to the world. At the same time, this song talks about unity(duh that's why the song is called Union)and making the right choices.
